My issue is that in the two drawings - masterplan 1:2000 & floor plan 1:200 - they are oriented in opposite directions. Now i understand and agree that all drawings should remain consistent, yet with these individual drawings, they both work best the way that i have shown them, and i have drawn them purposely this way. I honestly dont see it as a massive problem, just wanted to get some thoughts. Let me know what you guys think, and if it is confusing or not, and any other issues you can see with the drawings.
Cheers
Dan
Hey hey. Dan it does seem a bit weird, especially when i/we don't know the project. having the drawings in opposite orientations makes it a bit harder to get the head around, especially when you don't have a north point marked on the 1:200 plan. The 1:200 is really nice, however i'm not a fan of the trees in the 1:2000
ReplyDeleteA couple of minor ideas
ReplyDelete- I really dont think you need the diagonal lines in the walls, you can read them better without them.
- The numbers could read from left to right, and top to bottom to make it clearer.
-is there a reason for the shadding?
one more thing match the colours of the first plan and the legend
-evie :)
thanks guys, helpful feedback.
ReplyDeleteevie what did you mean about matching the colours of the 1st plan to the legend?.
still not too sure about the opposing orientations, rotating either of them, they each lose something
and yep ill put a nth marker on the 1:200 just working out which way ill have it set up
dan
um the colours look different, maybe the plan itself is more transparent making them lighter and a little confusing, just minor
ReplyDeleteDan - why are they oriented differently? If it just because they look better that way, it is dumb, and you will get canned!
