i like it! i think it's readable, it's just a very complicated building which takes a bit to get the head around. I think it would look good if you had it opposite a render (of the same view) on a double spread. ie. render on one page and axo on the facing page. that would look really good and would be very clear what's going on
yeah sweet good idea, i did try the actual exploded axo rendered but i didn;t think you could read enough, but yeah i will get around to doing a render and make it a little easier to understand.
or even some colour might make it a bit easier to understand? lightly shade in a random colour for each thing you're showing, then it will be easy to see where exactly it goes in the little perspective on the top left? or not..
Yeah I agree with the above comments, give the rendered view a go, one thing though, you could maybe even simplify it a little? just things like the ramp handrails mightn't be necessary? But i guess it just depends if you want to go for a complete axo showing all the details, or if it is going to be somewhat more diagramatic. but yeah anyway i think its a really clear and good idea! jb
hi evie - lovely drawing - i think you could make it work harder for you - what other things might it communicate? you could do another set of drawings that go with it (as separate "descriptors") that explain things such as circulation paths / public vs. private areas / anything particular to your position statement and concept / etc. - this will help guide the viewer as to how to read the drawing - as well as explaining your ideas. andrew
