In first research, my part was food and it’s about fast food and slow food. According to this subject, I will combine station with slow food.
Caroline Springs area is under Australian Ecosystems to throughout the construction and revegetation of an extensive wetland, lake and swale system at Caroline Springs since 2000. This work is for environment and nature in Caroline Springs and their purpose is similar with slow food. Slow food is simply sustainable quality food. It’s good, clean and fair food and especially clean means that the way it’s produced respects the environment, animal welfare and our health.
The building of this station will be mainly made up of glass and wood. And, the shape of building is cut and circular shape and the leaned roofs are covered with glass. This shape can show like trunk that cut off. I will make little farms near the station where people can have experience to cultivate some varieties of slow food. Because of the materials and the shape of building, the station building will be well-matched with the farms.
In the station, I will make slow food restaurant to let people know what are slow food dishes and make place for slow food market. According to Slow Food, there a slow food market in Melbourne and it’s held just once every month. So, the slow market in the station will be a unique place where people get slow food more frequently and easier in Melbourne. As well as, the little farms will be a educational place for school kids.
